Saint Laurent Paris Spring 2013 Inspired Style

They say it "Ain't Laurent without Yves" but I was very inspired by Hedi Slimane's debut collection for Saint Laurent Paris. I know everyone seems to have been a bit harsh on him but for the most part I really like the direction he is taking the brand. Yes, YSL is iconic. But isn't fashion all about change? I say embrace it and keep moving forward. Plus, the beauty products still have that iconic YSL logo on them. Now, as for their latest F/W campaign featuring Courtney Love I'm on the fence about it, but that's a different post.

My mom scored this 100% wool, black, wide brim fedora at an estate sale today. I've been searching for an Saint Laurent Paris or Stella McCartney inspired fedora for a hot minute. So when she surprised me with this today I was like THANKS MOM. WORD. UP.

Peach and Coral Spring 2013

Pretty in peach! Wahwahwaaaah. Peach is one of my new favorite colors for Spring '13. It's fresh and feminine and looks beautiful with every hair color and skin tone. Sometimes, it's okay to be ultra fem. Ya knaw 'mean? This Topshop blazer is reminiscent of a Donna Karan blazer that my mom had in the 90's. I would have been in possession of this blazer if a very rude certain someone who will remain nameless, hadn't purposely stuck her foot out and tripped my mom and made her spill red wine all over herself. That story sounds like something straight out of Mean Girls but it is totally true. So, thanks a lot "so-and-so". Because of you I don't have a beautiful, peach blazer to wear and create envy in other people with like it did with you. #Rude

RAWards Tulsa Semi-Finals (WE WON!)

 I've had an incredible time working with Erik as Creative Director/Fashion Show Coordinator to launch his debut fashion collection.  Erik and I have worked very hard on this project. I'm so happy we won Semi-Finals! 

We're goin' to FRANCE Y'ALL! We're going to meet with Lady St. Petsois JuJu! Just kidding, but if we win regionals we do win a trip to Los Angeles to compete in the Raw Artist Nationals and win all kinds of prizes. WORD UP. 

Congratulations to all the RAWards Tulsa Semi-Finalist winners! Including ERIK ZACHARIAH for Fashion Designer of the Year!

RAW Artists Tulsa - Erik Zachariah F/W 2012 pt 2

A behind the scenes look at Erik Zachariah F/W 2012 for Raw Artists Tulsa event. 

Erik Zachariah is one of the 5 finalist for the Raw Tulsa competition show on November 16th. The winner of the contest will receive a trip to Los Angeles to compete in the RAWards national competition as well as other prizes. I'm so pleased that we have made it to the finals.
