Jade Gotcher Creative Directs for Erik Zachariah F/W 2012 Fashion Show

I had the pleasure of producing, creative directing, and modeling for upcoming women's wear designer, Erik Zachariah's Fall/Winter 2012 Fashion Show. Tulsa native, Erik Hallquist and I share a similar aesthetic when it comes to textures, silhouettes, color palettes and style, so the process of working together to produce his debut fashion show flowed organically. Basically, it was smooth like butter.

Erik Hallquist (Erik Zachariah) hand sewed and tailored each piece of his Fall collection specifically to fit each model. Erik and I carefully selected and styled each look to suit each model's individual style and personality, yet concurrently made sure the looks maintained a ubiquitousness. The collection is cohesive yet multi-dimensional. The collection embodies downtown style with uptown influences. Lady-like pieces like the knee-length, silk, deep crimson dress with a prudish neckline were toughened by cognac leather trim and black leather gloves, basic mini skirts were given a modern edge with exposed leather pockets, and the use of shiny patent leather gave midi skirts sex appeal.

We're almost to the finish line with one more show for Raw Tulsa this Thursday Oct 18th. I've had an incredible time working with Erik. It was a true collaboration and I think all of our hard work has really paid off in the final result. http://www.rawartists.org/erikzachariah
